Step 01. Go to your Stable Diffusion directory (stable-diffusion\stable-diffusion-webui) and locate the webui-user.bat file. This is the file we use to run Stable Diffusion. 

Step 02. Right-click on this file and click on the Show More Options button. 

Step 03. Now click on the Edit option which opens the file in a Notepad.

Step 04. In the file, you’ll find a line “set COMMANDLINE_ARGS=”. 

Add the following line right after the above line: –theme dark

Step 05. Save and close the file. Now, run Stable Diffusion again and you’ll find the interface now has dark mode enabled.

Change Stable Diffusion Theme

Besides enabling dark mode UI in Stable Diffusion, you can also change the theme completely. Here’s how you can do it: 

Step 01. In your Automatic1111 Web UI, go to the Settings > User Interface page. 

Step 02. On this page, you’ll find a Gradio Theme dropdown where you can change the interface theme. 

Step 03. Select the theme you want to choose from the dropdown. 

Step 04. Click on the Apply Settings button and reload the UI. Now, your theme will be completely different in Automatic1111.
